Hourly Design Consultations

We offer an hourly design consultancy service to give you a creative steer, if you're not yet ready to embark on a full interior design project.

These one-off meetings are a cost-effective way to access our interior design expertise and insights such as colour and design theory, and the beauty of working this way is that we can be entirely flexible to your requirements and budget.

Our hourly consultancy service is ideal if you’re unsure where to start with your project, or what kind of interior design support you actually need.

For this service, our fee is charged by the hour at £90 + VAT, and depending on your needs, we typically recommend a minimum booking of three hours to give you meaningful direction and a solid foundation to move forward.

Access to our interior design knowledge & insights

Together we explore what you want from your home and the questions you need to be asking yourself. We’ll also share our ethos behind how we design, look at how the design process works and share insights into managing the implementation.

Colour & style analysis

We will have a general chat about the style of your furnishings to try and decide what might work best for you – and the property. Tim will explain a little bit about colour theory – where to start with a colour scheme and how colours work together. This could be a great starting point for you to run with the interior design yourself.

Idea brainstorming

Designing is very much about exploring your options, weighing them up side by side and carefully considering what might work best in that particular scenario. We often find our clients have already considered many of the available options and just need an expert steer to get them going in the right direction.

I. What can be covered in one session?

In our first session, we’ll discuss your project at a high level – covering overall style, what suits you and your property, and based on this, how we recommend approaching the design. We’ll also touch on functionality, budget, and how to see the project as a whole, offering guidance to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.

II. Can I book more than one hourly session?

Absolutely. Many clients find it helpful to book follow-up sessions for ongoing advice as their project progresses. You can schedule multiple hours at once or as needed, depending on how much guidance and input you’d like throughout your interior design journey.

III. Do I need to prepare anything before the session?

Ideally, yes – having photos, floor plans, measurements or inspiration images ready will help maximise your time. A clear idea of the room’s challenges or what you’re hoping to achieve will allow us to focus quickly and provide actionable, tailored advice within the time.

IV. Is this service suitable for small design problems?

Definitely. The hourly service is perfect for tackling small but important design issues. Whether you’re struggling with sofa placement, choosing the right paint colour or accessorising shelves, this flexible service provides expert input without committing to a full design package.

V. Will I receive a summary of the advice given?

We generally don’t provide written summaries after consultations, as these sessions often involve high-level discussions or a mix of miscellaneous design points that don’t require formal documentation. However, if you’d like us to carry out any further design work or provide additional information afterwards, we’re happy to do so at our hourly rate of £90 + VAT.
