Twickenham Family Home

No. 13

A multi-dimensional family home in Twickenham, where travel treasures meet bold design

Overview

We were hired to redesign the ground floor and stairwells of a very impressive five-storey townhouse in Twickenham, not far from Richmond Bridge. The design focused on specifying new colour schemes, furniture, lighting and accessories across each space.

We sat down with our clients as we always do to take a detailed brief. This was quite an experience as we discovered they regularly travel all over the world. The beauty of this was that they’d amassed a large collection of art, bought from different corners of the globe; filled with themes that immediately suggested new schemes for the house.

The perfect space for pre-dinner drinks & lively conversations

Our clients wanted us to create a home filled with interest and entertainment. A space for socialising with family and friends, for relaying travel stories and for making exciting plans.

The first thing we did in this Twickenham family home project was to create a stairwell that really unifies the different floors of the house together. An important element stretching over five storeys. We went for vibrant greens and teals, together with a mixed palette of colours for the beautiful woven stair runner, to echo the colours in our clients’ paintings.

From travels to textures: a home filled with stories

This vibrant Twickenham home is a celebration of our client’s cherished artwork, collected from their travels around the world. Each piece has been thoughtfully integrated into the design, adding layers of personality and meaning to every room.

To complement these treasured pieces, we chose a colour palette designed to spark conversation, inspire creativity, and bring daily joy. The result is a space that feels alive – a home where memories are shared, ideas flow, and friends and family always feel uplifted.

Tim listened and learned about our family before he started designing. He used art that we had collected from our travels around the world to build a colourful, cosy, look that has some wow factor. He listened to our feedback and advised us like a friend. We very much enjoyed working with Tim and hope to use him for interior design projects in the future.
