Eclectic Edwardian House
We completely redesigned this five bedroom family home in a picturesque street in Richmond to totally refresh & rejuvenate it for its new owners and their young children.
It was a privilege to bring this home to life, and we hope the results speak for themselves. Working in close coordination with the architect and building contractor, we created full decorative schemes for the interior of this characterful period house.
A rear extension was added to accommodate a spacious kitchen, while the newly excavated basement below houses a cinema, games room, and wine bar. In addition, we designed the drawing room, entrance hall, two stairwells, master bedroom, and en-suite bathroom.
Our brief for this project was to create an inviting atmosphere reminiscent of a private members club
Our design approach was guided by a range of inspiring references, including the relaxed elegance of Soho House and the effortlessly stylish charm of Babington House. These precedents helped shape a vision that blends comfort with refined living, where every space feels both lived-in and beautifully curated.
We set out to create interiors that are unmistakably homely yet rich in character, using bold artwork, striking colour pairings, and a thoughtfully eclectic mix of styles and textures. From layered lighting to tactile finishes, every element was selected to evoke warmth, personality, and an understated sense of luxury. The result is a home that feels welcoming and vibrant, while still conveying sophistication, individuality, and timeless appeal.
We wanted each space to evoke its own mood & identity
A key part of our design intent was to introduce a strong and deliberate contrast between different rooms, creating a sense of rhythm and movement as you journey through the house – encouraging a dynamic flow that keeps the experience of the interiors engaging and immersive.
Some rooms embrace deeper, more enveloping tones – rich colours and textures that bring warmth, intimacy, and drama – while others are designed with a lighter, airier palette to provide moments of calm and openness. These contrasts are carefully considered, not only to define the character of each space, but also to enhance the transitions between them.
Tim’s work has put a stunning finish on our house redesign project in Richmond. He and his team applied their fantastic talent to design each room with such detail and personality, giving the ensemble great coherence. The difference he has made to our home is simply extraordinary!
